Balekane Legoabe (b.1995) is a South African visual artist, illustrator, curator and animator based in Johannesburg. Her formal education includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in visual communication with a specialisation in illustration, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in film arts with a specialisation in motion design, both obtained from the Open Window Institute. She was the recipient of the StateoftheART Gallery Award in 2019. Legoabe specialises in mixed media collage, working with traditional and digital media. She has taken part in several group exhibitions and art fairs around the country. In terms of theme, her work explores the concept of liminality in relation to emotional states.
